Blue
Blood flows red on a darkened sleeve,
Yet I do only see in a heart of blue.
Birds fly distant, the trees on hills
And a sword on the desert sands writes in blue.
Over there, among the shallow bodies,
Executed with short promises drawn,
I look at you from my unmarked grave.
The concrete boundary shows not your heaven
It only shadows nerves in shades of blue.
Blood clots numb forth into blue.
Hide your hand
Shy the vowel
Stillborn the mind
For nothing in new.
The circle jagged
With porcelain steel.
These hands will tremble
As they drink from a sea of blue.
Light, go to your chest away from me,
Away from you.
